Yes!! MediBloc, this is an open source decentralized platform on the blockchain that collates the medical history of a patient from different affiliated health institutes and updates as changes occurs. With MediBloc, patients are now in charge of their medical records which spare them the time of waiting for medical centers to retrieve their data before proceeding for treatment, another beauty of this is the fact that, these medical records updates once there’s a new development regarding the patient medical state. The process of implementation is quite simple, MediBloc safely gathers medical records from different organizations and devices (even smartphones) and makes it accessible only to the patient; in this case, having a look or updating the records requires permission from the patient and there’s also an option for loved ones to access in case of an emergency; this is definitely the future.

Problems of Medical Records

There have been many problems surrounding medical records over the years;

• A handful of medical centers have issues problems updating appropriately, this may be due to the negligence of the medical record department; in a light of a little issue updating, some personnel can choose to neglect the patient record which in turn can prove deadly in the nearest future.
• Due to lack of strong security, hackers can attack a medical center thereby leading to loss of numerous patient data
• In most cases, there are no privacy measures whatsoever towards patient medical records which should never be the case

In 2017, an article by The Conversation mentioned that 40,000 to 80,000 death in the United States were linked to misdiagnosis, it’s only right to say these deaths could have been prevented if there was easy access to patient’s medical records; this only shows the big solution MediBloc offers to the general public no wonder Forbes acknowledged it as one of the biggest Korean startups in the year 2018.

Both will be transferred once the MediBloc main net is live.
