Are we dreading or taking advantage
As the crypto market struggles to pull itself out of its current correction. There's a temptation to feel down hearted, when we see the overall market prices still being relatively low. Though it is only natural to feel this way, especially if you bought when the market was high. It's important to remember that the low prices are just a part of a temporary market correction. In fact, if you listen to any of the crypto personalities. You'll find that most of them believe the crypto-currency market to not only be healthy, but thriving.
Jsnip4 recently did a YouTube video where he compared the biggest market crashes in the cryptocurrency history. He pointed out that in each crash, the recovery led to record-breaking highs. Here is his video if you want to watch it.
Similarly, if you have ever listen to Bix Weir, you'll know that he is undeniably passionate about the cryptocurrency industry. If you ever find yourself looking at your wallet, and feeling disheartened. All you have to do is go to @roadtoroota on YouTube, and watch any of his videos. Within a few minutes of watching his videos, your belief will be restored. You might even feel like patting yourself on the back, for having made a great decision.
As human beings we need to surround ourselves with passionate people. Especially when we notice that our own passions are starting to grow dim. Surrounding ourselves by passionate people, like Bix Weir, Jsnip, or any one of the thousands found in the Steemit Community. This type of association is essential in helping us fight off doubt and fear. Here's one of the current videos found on Roadtoroota. It reminds us that not everyone is happy about our decision to support the cryptocurrency industry.
While explaining cryptocurrencies to other people, I often hear them compare it to gambling. Yet I know that these people have done zero research into the industry. If you have taken the time to research a company, before investing into it. It is nowhere near gambling.
Take EOS for example. There is no way that you could hang out with the EOS, and the beyondbitcoin community without feeling certain of the role it will play in the future. The platform that EOS is creating, will be the catalyst for thousands of future crypto power houses. By investing time to associate with those communities, you'll quickly discovered why they're so passionate about what they're doing. With the market as low as it is right now, EOS is currently trading around $8. Talk about a great time to invest, especially considering that the platform will be going live sometime around June. It's just a matter of perspective. While some people allow the low prices to disheartened them, others are scrambling to find money to invest.
It is true there is a little bit of luck involved. Many of us were lucky enough to discover steemit, and the cryptocurrency industry when we did, but it wasn't just luck. Many of us not only did our research, but we took a chance. It's like they say, " You live you learn." Sometimes you even profit. :)

Great post! I have also noticed that nearly everyone I talk to about crypto who only has a cursory understanding will often compare it to gambling. This, as you wrote about, clearly is not the case. Of course, throwing $1,000 into some random altcoin isn't likely going to get you far, but with some planning and research it is not farfetched to hear of people making impressive returns on investment. Be wary of people looking to scam you, but on the whole I would have to agree that the community and market are as strong as ever. Thanks for the great post!
You make a good point. I thank God that I discovered cryptocurrencies. I think the biggest frustration is when you're trying to tell someone you care about and they just don't understand. I also find it funny that the people that compare it to gambling, are more than willing to buy a lottery ticket. Lol
I don’t pay too much attention to price of things. I figure if Steem is going to go somewhere, I should spend my time earning it instead of worrying about it. Besides, if I’m not aware that the prices are dipping, I can’t worry about it! lol
Well this is true, but I'm very glad that I paid attention and noticed when SBD soared to almost $18 and steem was still sitting at 3 + change. That was a pretty sweet time to buy steem. Lol. Yeah you're right focusing on earning as much as you can is a great strategy.
