Majority of Big 4 Banks in Ireland Uses Blockchain to Verify Staff Credentials
The majority of what many describes as the Big 4 banks in Ireland are reportedly using blockchain technology to verify employee’s credentials.
The solution has been reported to be the first of its kind in the European financial services industry and has been built using Ethereum by Deloitte’s EMEA Financial Services Blockchain Lab in Dublin which was designed to track and verify staff credentials and qualifications data.
Blockchain-based verification of credentials is a growing use case for the technology which has for many years have been previously and still is dominated by financial services use cases.
Deloitte is not the only one that has developed such a platform, PwC also developed a similar blockchain based platform which is called Credentials which enables company employees to be issued digital copies of professional qualification.
