In Bitcoin News:
Bitcoin hit a high of over $5800 this week, a huge increase from the start of the week and a even bigger 98% increase since the bottom of the China FUD price.

Putin did stress that regulations for cryptocurrencies are important, however there shouldn't be unnecessary barriers for the cryptocurrencies. I definitely think this is the right move as cryptocurrencies shouldn't have regulations that slow it down.

Red Pulse:

There was also some problems when it came to round 2 of the RPX distribution as information for Round 2 of RPX distribution was released early to some people, so most people didn’t get in, which caused big refunds that were successfully completed by the dev team On 10th of October.

DragonChain:
If you haven’t heard of the Dragonchain ICO was a token originally developed by Disney, but never made it to commercial use https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/dragonchain-ico-seeks-commercialize-disneys-blockchain-project/
It was intended to serve as an asset management platform, however the project never reached implementation and Disney released it to the public under an open source license.
A group of former Disney employees realised the potential of Dragonchain and founded The Dragonchain Foundation in January 2017.
Disney is no longer associated with the platform, however I believe it’s still an ICO to keep an eye on.
Riot Blockchain:
The Biotech company Bioptix saw a surge in their stock prices after announcing the rebrand to “Riot Blockchain”
A little background for Bioptix, it was originally a company that manufactured diagnostic machinery for the biotechnical industry. For example the company made the 404pi which was used for real-time detection of biomolecular interactions at an extremely high sensitivity. They are well versed in their industry so moving to blockchain provides huge publicity for them and the technology.
The shares of Bioptix were trading at 4$-4.50$ for the majority of the previous month, but then had an increase to over 9$ on Wednesday due to the announcement of the rebrand.
Ripple Swell:
Ripple has been spiking prior to Swell, which is a conference for leaders in banking and blockchain.

Swell takes place on 16th-18th of October in Toronto. The article states that “Swell is attracting a roster of payments experts and industry luminaries to discuss trends, success stories of blockchain implementations and real-world blockchain use cases to meet changing customer demands for global payments"
Investment Tips:
NEO and ETH are currently really cheap in comparison with Bitcoin. NEO will be a long term hold, however ETH should be a shorter hold due to the devcon coming up at the start of November and forks at the end of this month.
I do also have a source telling me that MCO has the possible news on the 18th of October that they have sorted out things with VISA, definitely a coin to keep your eye on for the next few days.
