Dentacoin (DCN) was introduced in February 2017 and is the first ERC20 token based Blockchain solution created for the global dental industry. The core missions of Dentacoin are to improve dental care and make it accessible worldwide, create a dental community and to reduce treatment costs by giving power to the people. It is developing a number of blockchain-based tools, as well as introducing two innovative dental clinic concepts. The tools of Dentacoin are a Trusted Review Platform, Dentacare Mobile App (app available for both Android and iOS devices), DentaVox webapp (online market research platform), Dentacoin Assurance (an Insurance-like model, ETA: Q4, 2018 Testnet Launch), a Trading Platform for dental care products, materials and equipment and a Database (ETA: Q4, 2019) for medical records. The token is being used by dental clinics as a means of payment worldwide, and the latest addition to this list is East Tremont Medical Center, based in Bronx, NY.
Dentacoin was invented by Dentacoin Foundation in the Netherlands by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrakiev, and the co-founders are Philipp Grenzebach and Jeremias Grenzebach. Since the start of the foundation in 2014, approx. 120 people have been involved in different features of the concept development.
According to Coinmarketcap, the total circulating token supply is 325 billion with a max supply of 8 trillion. The marketcap of the token is $114,504,194 USD (18,182 BTC) and the 24hr volume is $102,986 USD (16.35 BTC). Dentacoin is down 86% from it's all-time high of $0.006575 USD reached on Jan 08, 2018 and is trading at $0.000352 USD at the time of writing. The token can be traded on HitBTC, CoinExchange, Cryptopia, and Mercatox.
