This Phantom Era we are in... pt 1
We are in the unique era of automation riding innovations and disruptions. We are fathoms deep in this era of change and Blockchain innovation. 
The change keeps coming with every new decade and more than before, we are experiencing a shift that helps civilization advance in the right path.
Let's ask some few questions and then we will be able to see that we truly are phantoms.
- When was the last time you stepped inside a bank in a bid to make deposits or withdrawals?
- When was the last time you went to the ticketing office to get a ticket from a sales person?
- When was the last time you actually went into a Music/Video shop to get a music or movie in CD?
I am sure there are some of us who find it hard to remember the last time they went grocery shopping.
With the new found live we now live in, everyday tasks that once filled our days are increasingly performed and delivered almost instantaneously by machines and other online assistance.
It is pertinent to note that, Cryptocurrency is one of the biggest propeller of this Phantom phase we are in now.
To keep pace with the rapid evolution of the workplace and how we interact with our social life, we must adapt skills wise. Don't get me wrong, there are already concerns that humans are losing their jobs to machines but we cannot but talk about it.
Remember that, there are perfunctory tasks we will be perfectly happy to do without.
Would you like to go through the rigors of having to go stand in the queues in the banks to make a withdrawal of 10USD? Or would you rather go to the ticket shop to get your tickets for the next upcoming show?
Who wouldn’t breathe a sigh of relief if a online bot could help you file your expenses, respond to your routine emails, cook and even do a little laundry on the side?
The need to have administrative overheads offloaded by an organization will allow people the time and headspace to do deeper, more abundant work and achieve some positive results.
I have always mentioned in my various posts that Steemit isn't real and is the definition of a Phantom. I even called it the Phantom of the Steem and in that article, I was just ranting about some fantasy that Steemit is and how it is helping us become well settled and financially independent.
Innovation and creativity is going to be a vital aspect of the world's survival in the future. As the pace of innovation speeds up, disrupting entire industries, we must not forget to hold dear what is uniquely ours. We must not fail to understand human behavior which will help us get better at what we are set to achieve.
Before Steemit, there was no Social media that rewarded users for their contributions. To make money as a blogger was not possible because, there was adsense which has some very strict setup to earn. There was also Facebook, the multi Billion dollars social media that made the world live and sleep it, they never gave one the chance to earn for their contents.
Looking at the Phantom era we are, you will agree that things are changing for the better. Facebook just announced their foray into Cryptocurrency. Amazon and the others are also getting into the game, there are also the banks and even wall street.
It is a phantom world we live in now and no one will be left behind. Have you seen the movie "Avatar?"
That movie was created from the minds of a man who was looking ahead. There are countless other movies that is already way ahead of its time.
I am working with a movement to change the world and hearing and understanding that it is a Phantom, makes me so excited because, I am able to do things only imagine before now.
I am also aware that the world is coming closer than before. The innovative principles we are used to is gradually changing and no matter how fast we may be, we will never be able overtake the future. The future is getting primed with stuffs that will make everyday living fun and exciting.
Hands up!.. it is a Phantom world we live in the scope is getting wider.

I have seen a documentary on BBC news that talked about people becoming anything, building houses and livings thier lives differently in the virtual world.
We are living in the phantom world already. I believe in this part of the world, Nigeria people between the ages of 25 and 40 are most informed of this change, the others don't even have a clue. Thank you for this piece @ejemai.

I just realised I haven't even touched a CD in years(funny enough I touched a cassette more recently). But you're right, innovation in tech and services is moving so fast you get lost if you don't stay informed 24/7. Specially in the cryptoverse. But maybe that's part of the thrill.
