Steemit rewards May 2019

in #cryptocurrency5 years ago (edited)

A little later than usual, it is time again for a new post about the rewards I got from different Steemit services and initiatives.

Voting distribution

Based on upVoters you can get insight in the upvotes you get for a certain amount of time. Below you can see the voting distribution of all incoming votes in April (and March as a comparison). It can be seen that @actifit took even a bigger share this month and remains spot. It is followed by @steembasicincome and @esteemapp, which both saw their share decrease. The same accounts for the share of @steem-ua. The first human curator is @fullcoverbetting with a nice (and growing) 3.5%, thanks Peter!

Author rewards

The second important thing to take into account is the total amount of author rewards that I got during this month. Steemworld.org helps here, since you can see the rewards of the last 30 days on your account page there (see below). One disadvantage is that rewards are always paid out 7 days after you author a post. That means that the reward data from Steemworld are 7 days behind the upVoters data about upvotes. To keep the calculation easy, I assume that the amount of upvotes by the different services are comparable for both periods. Since I post 4 to 5 times a week nearly all weeks, that should be pretty close to the reality.

According to the Steemworld data, I got 23.97 STEEM Power and 8.67 SBD in author rewards last month. For the calculation I assume that the average price of STEEM was around 0.36 SBD this month. That makes a total reward value of 48.05 STEEM (compared to 37.00 in March), my best month ever!

Results

In the table below you can find the results of the calculation for this month, including a recap from the earlier months. I only take the services into account that are among the five biggest contributors/upvoters.

Actifit is still on top this month and with even more Steem than last month. I keep making use of the nice AFIT to Steem/upvote possibility @actifit offers these days.
SBI is up in Steem rewards for the second month in a row. It seems the sustainability coverage of SBI has gone up, which makes the upvotes higher.
Esteemapp has gone up a bit, thanks to the number of posts I did with the app, which resulted in more upvotes.
Steem-UA is in fourth place and has decreased compared to last month.
Upvoteshares has gone up a bit in Steem, because I bought some more shares and I also posted a lot this month.

In the graph below, the Steem rewards per service is shown over time. You can really see that May was a great month with respect to my author rewards.

Conclusion and further thoughts

Based on the numbers, I'd say most of the services are still working well for me. SBI brings in a steady income and has gone up again, that's very promising. The Esteem app works very well and gives nice upvotes that are worth a lot more than what you give them, so it is a win-win. Steem-UA is still a great service when you calculate the Return on Investment. Actifit is a nice way to make more out of your activities and turns out to be highly profitable, especially with the conversion option.
All other services (including @dustsweeper and @minnowbuilder, which are not in the list) still provide a, slow but steady, return, so I won't be changing any of those.

What do you think about the numbers? And do you have any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments below!
