Two Public Pensions Anchor Morgan Creek’s New $40 Million Venture Fund

Cryptocurrency fans are awaiting the entry of institutional money into the sector. So far, a number of Bitcoin ETF applications were denied by the SEC. This is what many view as the entry of institutional money into the cryptocurrency space.

This is not exactly true. There is a fund that sought $25 million to invest in cryptocurrency. Anchor Creek raised $40 million from institutional investor. The fund is designed to invest in cryptocurrency and blockchain assets.

While it might hold some cryptocurrency directly, most of the money is slated for projects such as Coinbase and Bakkt.

The latest money came from two pension funds.
