What is currently happening with Metaverse?

Metaverse (ETP) is a cryptocurrency that is created by ViewFin. ViewFin (www.viewfin.com) is one of the leading blockchain companies in China. I didn't know about Metaverse until yesterday. Yesterday the value of Metaverse suddenly doubled with huge trading volumes. Today it is up another 10 percent. Why this sudden demand for Metaverse?

I have tried to find out what is happening but I cannot find anything. The last news about Metaverse dates back to September 20 when it was listed on Bitfinex. I didn't find any other relevant news from a later date.

The founder and CEO of ViewFin is Eric GU. He was originally also involved in the Antshare/NEO project. On the below mentioned YouTube links you can hear what he recently said about Metaverse:


Some commenters say it is pump and dump. Another possible reason I can think of is that some party with inside information is buying. Metaverse is an Ethereum-like platform. It provides Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) to businesses. If a major business is planning to start using Metaverse BaaS this could trigger involved parties to start buying Metaverse.

I would like to hear any other ideas on this.
