Hahaha, I had the same thought. I feel like this would make a good case study. If someone's voting power is largely contingent on the amount of time that she has invested on Steemit, than the curation of content would be driven more by the taste of early adopters than the actual quality of the content.
I wonder if this model is fated to stay a pyramid or if over time this will self correct with increased adoption.

I have been involved on steemit for over a year and have dedicated a good sum of my life to it. The more time you put on steemit the more you will earn!

I think a crypto education center is a great idea! There is so much disinformation out there and so many more people who would be interested in it if there was an easy way to explain the core concepts to them!
