Who is Charlie Lee?

Charles Lee is a computer scientist and the creator of Litecoin. He serves as the chairman and managing director of the Litecoin Foundation.

I've been a fan of Charlie since the beginning of Litecoin. And in spite of his affiliation (ad hoc employment) with Coinbase, I continue to root him on his Litecoin promoting efforts.

He is also known for his legendary hyperactivity on Twitter - almost up to par with President Trump's Twitter antics.

BTW, if you don't know the significance of Litecoin, here it is in a nutshell:

Upon its debut on the crypto markets, Litecoin instantly jumped into the top ten on coinmarketcap.com. It was dubbed as the "Silver" standard to Bicoin's "Gold" of cryptocurrency.

Litecoin's major appeal is its fast verification of transactions, wide-spread adoption (translated: high liquidity on its >400 exchange listings), and cheaper price than Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Last night I read Charlie Lee's tweet about Litecoin and TokenPay's bid to buy nearly 10% of German Bank WEG.

The first thing in my mind was Charlie's past criticism of Verge's partnership with Pornhub; stating that it was simply a publicity stunt meant to pump Verge's market value.

Then I realized that this purchase has the potential to threaten Ripple's dominance of the legacy bank/crypto arena too.
