1- The New York State Public Service Commission (Commission) today approved new electricity rates for Massena Electric Department that will allow high-density load customers, such as cryptocurrency companies, to qualify for service under an individual service agreement. The individual service agreement tariff includes provisions that will protect existing customers from increased supply costs resulting from the new service.
2 - The crypto-friendly island of Malta will be home of the future Founders Bank, Binance said, adding that it has taken a 5 percent stake alongside other anchor investors at a 133 million-euro ($155 million) pre-money valuation. Binance and other promoters of the blockchain-based Malta project said they aim to turn the startup into the first decentralized and community-owned bank in the world -- provided it gets the necessary permits.
3 -Fintech startup Robinhood is expanding its cryptocurrency trading product with two new token listings. Users in selected states can now trade Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash from the app.

4 - Squirrels Research Labs today announced Acorn, a new hardware component that improves efficiency and effectiveness of cryptocurrency mining.
Squirrels president David Stanfill said
We developed a piece of hardware called Acorn that increases the effectiveness of existing GPU mining operations without adding a significant cost,This is a brand new concept that’s never been done before.

Guangdong police have cracked down on an online gambling platform hosting over RMB 10 billion ($1.5 billion) worth of cryptocurrency bets, the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department announced today (in Chinese).
