1- Software security researcher Guido Vranken had an incredible week this month – he discovered 12 vulnerabilities in the EOS software.
Using the bounty platform HackerOne, EOS developer Block.one launched a bug bounty program to improve the product on May 31, 2018, and Vranken took full advantage of it. At the time of writing, HackerOne shows that Vranken earned a total of $90,000, but he wrote on Twitter that the final number will be $120,000 once the tally updates
2 - Circle Internet Financial Ltd, partly backed by Goldman Sachs Group Inc., plans to seek a federal banking license to provide more services to customers. It also intends to pursue registration as a brokerage and trading venue with the Securities and Exchange Commission, so it can help investors buy and sell tokens deemed to be securities.
3 - The financial watchdog of Poland has recently affirmed that cryptocurrency trading is completely legal in the countrythe Polish Financial Oversight Commission (KNF) sought to clarify the status of cryptocurrencies and crypto trading, “recognizing the emerging legal doubts related to the functioning of exchanges and exchange offices.”
4 - Canada’s Quebec province said on Thursday it has halted approvals for new digital currency mining projects to give it time to consider restrictions on their operations and raising the rates they pay for power.
5 - Jihan Wu runs Bitmain Technologies Ltd., the world’s largest producer of custom cryptocurrency mining chips. Financially speaking not much is known about the Chinese company, though Wu has hinted at the possibility of holding an initial public offering (IPO), which would force Bitmain to reveal more.
