What is SmartMesh?

”SmartMesh is a mobile device protocol network, where cellphones are connected through WIFI, Bluetooth, ANT, and other near-field protocols. User can send text message, make voice and video call, and browse SmartMesh cached distributed web pages while without any internet connection. If one device of the network has internet connection, the entire SmartMesh network can connect to the internet via Raiden Network based SmartMesh micropayment extension. Micropayment incentivize users with internet connection to share the connection with the entire SmartMesh network, which would be an ideal solution for congestion issues in the big cities as well as connecting 4 billion people unconnected for living in areas with no or underdeveloped telecommunication infrastructures.” https://smartmesh.io

In short SmartMesh wants to build a network protocol and micropayments in tokens so people will get rewarded for sharing their device, thus creating a “global mesh”.

The GitHub Status

Lately there has great amount of activity the github with over 10,000 commits, 6 popular repositories with recent activity on SmartMesh iOS, SmartChatRoom, Raiden-Network, SmartMesh Android, Go Raiden & SM Chain. It's good to see so much activity on the github.ref

Social Media

After sussing out the social media channels of facebook, telegram, twitter & media news coverage ect. I have come to the conclusion the marketing side of this project is on point. There are youtube videos, post and regular reviews coming out every other day.

Summary & Recommendation

If you are interested in new technologies and are a big supporter of Ethereum & Raiden Network (uRaiden "Internet of things" this may be for you. SmartMesh is yet to get the word out on how big this project will be and it is still very undervalued.
