Crypto-Currency Brings Out Scammers

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

These days there are some serious scammers preying on people. Normally I have never met these kind of people, but I did meet a co-founder of Crowdify once, and he had some good ideas. To my surprise he was taking in allot of money via paypal, and just spending like crazy. Every time he setup an office it was a complete disaster, and when he tried to take all of the crypto stored for the crypto part of the project he was pushed out by the other founder.

Now his past is revealed, and we now know he has a long history of scams, being blocked from going to some countries, and even possible governmental issues in his home country of New Zealand.

What this does is shed allot of light that these kind of people will never take responsibility for their actions, and just throw out accusations, and think just by lying about others they somehow are accomplishing something. Anytime you see someone asking for money or crypto from you, and has no history of success, and no knowledge of what they are even talking about it's most likely a scam.

Here on steemit there are allot of good people wanting to get into new startup projects, and the scammers are close behind looking to steal, hurt, and destroy. They are cowards, and will never confront you face to face since that is what cowards do. They actually think they are anonymous, and you cannot trace, and track them down if someone really wanted too. These kind of people always meet their end, and people watch them destroy themselves, and in their own mental pain they try to take a few people with them.

So be careful out there in this wild wild west of crypto investing, and know that scammers are counting on your lack of knowledge of something new; so they can steal your hard earned finances.

Yes very true. This person still continues to scam hoping people will trust him.

So be careful out there in this wild wild west of crypto investing

I think that's a pretty good metaphor for the current situation. There's very little regulation, like there was limited law and order. And it brings both swift opportunities and cut-throat scammers.

But if you take on the wild west mindset, it comes with the understanding that the responsibility now lies very much on your own shoulders. Make sure you know what you're getting into, like you would if you were heading out on a wagon.

Even then, good people will get scammed. Even some of the big cryptos will fail, or be superseded. It's certainly not for the faint of heart!

Your correct we must have nerves of steel. :-)

Once bitten, twice shy. Research, Research, Research then find a good friend and ask if they have any insight into what you pondering over.

There is allot of good people, and they are still falling prey to this guy.

The truth is out there for all to see, read up and learn. One thing we now know for fact is who to trust going forward, a lesson of life.

Very True. Need to know what your getting into before you invest.

Even when your first impression of someone is bad; you sometimes have other team members involved and they seem on the up and up. Separating these people and looking for real intentions takes time.

Yes he has a way of bringing in credible people who eventually see them for who they really are.

All he is doing is making people research him out more and more.

Yep , all for the world to see. Hope people start researching more.

Yes the coward who still people hardwork. Why don't they just use their talent to help the needed one.

Sage advice in the current volatile atmosphere of ICO's and "new projects" backed by the blockchain.

Oh boy. This is a reality. Scammers are here by the hundreds if not thousands. In fact, most people don't even use their names. Only use alter ego online or crypto personality. And this situation is ideal for Scammers to hide in and operate in the background.

When interacting always do your due diligence. I recommend using Google Operator Site:steemit.com username keywords. That would throw light on the target being researched
