VANIG: integrated e-commerce and supply chain ecosystem

It feels go well when you get any product delivered right at your doorsteps. You must remember that how much e-commerce companies have eased our life. Earlier, we had to go to the market, search for the right store that too with appropriate price and then finally getting hands on the product. But, look at the brilliance of modern technology. You can see various products on your mobile devices and compare their prices from the various seller and choose the one with the minimum price. So, simple and elegant!!

But, I was surprised to find out that even after so many years of development of e-commerce application, the entire process suffers from various massive loopholes. Merchants have to wait for a long duration before receiving the payment from the customer. Also, for the customer, it is very hard to track down the product. The customer has no clue about whether the product was kept in the proper environment or how the product was processed. Also, since a product passes through various intermediaries their final product is way higher than what was the initial cost of production.

This is why VANIG has decided to take steps to resolve these issues. They are working on an integrated ecosystem (e-commerce and supply chain) which will bring transparency, efficiency, reliability in the overall process. So, I decided to dig deeper into the platform to find out how it works.

VANIG platform

VANIG is an integrated e-commerce and supply chain ecosystem based on blockchain technology. VANIG aims at streamlining the supply chain with a fast-growing e-commerce industry. The ecosystem will use distributed ledgers to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain and to provide high quality, timely products to customers.

VANIG will not only enhance the efficiency of the entire process but will also bring transparency so that users can track the product from its growth to their hands. VANIG will also bring down the cost as intermediaries will no longer be needed to maintain the link in the supply chain. They will also remove various loopholes of the traditional system like by providing efficient logistic handling, easing cross-border regulations, ensuring the correct reviews of each product.

VANIG uses ERC20 token which is created on Ethereum blockchain. The company has released 141 million VANIG tokens for sale. VANIG is currently organizing a private sale for its token which will end on 22nd July 2018. The company will organize pre-Sale from 23rd July 2018- 6th August 2018 and main sale from 7th August 2018- 16th September 2018. The tokens will be sold at a rate of 1 VANIG= $0.25 USD. You can use Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin or fiat money to purchase VANIG token. However, you need to invest a minimum of 0.1 Ether.

Conclusion

VANIG plans to launch the alpha version of e-commerce ecosystem which will be followed by registration for VANIG team and community. The beta version of the platform will be launched in March 2019 with full-fledged version scheduled to be launched in somewhat June 2019. VANIG will also launch the second version of the platform in December 2019 with the addition of support for many categories. VANIG will first launch the platform in Malaysia and Philippines (June 2019) which will follow by a launch in Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and India (December 2021).

VANIG does look like a great company with a dedicated team behind it. But, the question comes is whether it is good for investment or not. Well, I think that e-commerce is one sector which will affect the most by the popularity of cryptocurrencies. And VANIG targets that particular industry only. So, it will not be wrong to say that the company is more likely to succeed in the coming future. Also, this can be a perfect opportunity to get started with an investment in a sector which is nearly guaranteed to grow.
