1960 GRADED PROOF SET - Mirror Americana

Hi all, on the side I dabble in the Americana of beautifully graded coinage. Sadly, at this time I need to liquidate my collection to help fund Maw as well as my check engine light.

For my $munnie$ there is no better slab presentation that NGC - the premier grading company out there alongside PCGS. I just prefer their design of encasement on these coins. Collecting these is also an exercise in U.S. history, something I never tire of and find so fascinating. It is a great teaching tool for our youth, many of which will soon no longer use physical monetary exchange let alone see it.

Fall where you may on the discussion of fiat, the artistry and nuances that go into the mintage of these coins is amazing. I especially appreciate the "Large" and "Small" date Lincoln cents which, to the everyday eye, could never be distinguished. Here you get to see a graded example of each in gorgeous PROOF (PF68 with PF70 being the highest) condition.

I hope more people consider using the beautiful history of our coinage to teach the youth about our history and define what real value is.
