The Life Of A Cryptocurrency Investor

The Life Of A Cryptocurrency Investor

Trying to explain cryptocurrency investing to a regular person is a real challenge. Especially if the person you're talking to doesn't have any experience in investing at all, like stocks. But with the crypto market being so volatile people will notice big chances to the amount of money you either earn or loose. Heck, you could loose 30% of your total portfolio value in less than 24h and regain it the next day or even the same day, or the other way around. With these quick gains in a small period of time people will surely be interested in what you're up to. But they're not interested in what you are actually doing, they're interested in the money that you make.

Right now i'm studying, which means i spend a lot of time in class with around 30 other people. And sometimes i get on my computer and check on coinmarketcap or other websites to see how the markets are doing, or look at some charts when i'm bored. This is where the questions begin to roll in.

Are you doing that bitcoin thing? How much have you earned? How much money do you have?

This happens to me at least two to three times a week, and it can be annoying sometimes. Being me i don't like to talk about money much, or about how much i earn trading cryptocurrencies. So, the regular answer i give them is, "Not so much". But that isn't enough. I get these questions all the time. The same goes for my friend in class who's also trading crypto.

I get it that people are interested in what other people earn, and i'm happy to talk to them about it if they would've been interested in the actual blockchain technology and wanted to start trading themselves. If that was the case i would help them out and tell them everything i know. But i don't think i've gotten any questions about how bitcoin works, so i'll leave that for another story when i get one.

I think a lot of you can relate to this if you're a crypto investor. But we'll have to live with it until cryptocurrency reaches the masses. Because it's too small right now for regular people to have an interest in crypto.
