Bitcoin Crash 2018: Precursor to Global Financial Crisis?

Jill Carlson wrote an interesting Twitter thread recently about how Bitcoin might be the "canary in the coal mine" that will signal a much broader market downturn across global financial markets.

In this video, I'll be sharing my own thoughts on this idea.

If this is the beginning of another global financial meltdown, Crypto would stand to gain the most since these economic systems are not correlated to to the traditional markets.

With the steady fall in price of Bitcoin many institutional investors will move their funds into either gold and stocks investment. I don't believe the global stock market will experience any downturn at this moment, but the safest heaven to put funds into now is precious metals like gold and silver @louisthomas

how market manipulation works?
BEAR MARKET
-the big crypto holders (exchanges) start to sell a significant amount of crypto...price is dropping
-people start to worry but still hodling
-(exchanges) sell even more....people are getting more worried and sell a part of their assets...but still hodling a good amount
-(exchanges) sell more....people start to panic and sell a good portion of their assets with a big loss....but they still hodling a small amount
-(exchanges) keep selling big amount of crypto....and scare the shit out of people....people sell the last of their portfolio and taking the loss of their lives
-NOW the big sharks (exchanges) start to buy and the price goes up....

When people are getting to desperate, I know that the end of bear market is close!
Keep calm people....hodling is not enough right now! Is time to buy!!!

The next steps are yet to be determined as the debt bubble needs to be handled some way to really provide realistic prices on all assets. Whether it will be a large shock to devalue assets of a slower adjustment downwards really depends on how the willingness of the markets to not rush to the exits!

If there is a financial crisis heading our way all investments will probably suffer to start with but I don’t think it would be long before people started heading for crypto currencies and the metals because the next crisis will see a massive loss of confidence in the fiat currencies. Thanks mike

That’s what it looks like, and it is going to be quite a long winter 🥶
