i have been mining some bitcoins now and yeah...i think there are really manipulation activities that are happening as of this moment...
just make sure you don't put all your eggs in 1 basket.

The community has to take some steps regarding this, to minimize manipulation or the main point of having decentralized currencies will collapse.
