All people talk about is price these days. Price is up 10%, down 12%, omg no!! it's sideways.... you know the song, you know how it goes.
But, is this really what matters? should we be focusing on other things? Do we have the whole picture?

@meno, Yes market is red but why is it so important, before entering this market, we've already know that it will going to be rough and tough, and at the same time we will going to face the Vacation days. So, we have to enjoy the prosperous days and have to hold the essence of patience in rough phase.

and i agree 10000% with your statement. if i’m not using it i’m not holding it.
i made a decision months ago to focus on crypto that i actually use. because then the price doesn’t matter. the real world use of this stuff is what does.
and if steem takes a nose dive off that blocktivity chart. then i’ll worry. but that’s not happening anytime soon lol

Most of what you said makes good sense. However, there is also the fact that steem has dropped now to 50th place. Soon we will not be in the top 50 anymore.
You are right that looking forward Bitcoin holders will likely be happy in 2 or 3 years. However once again though we don't know if we're going to be happy when we hold steem.
It's good to see that we have a coin that is being used a lot and that we we are in sixth place on that block activity website.
I look forward to the day when our chain becomes fully independent and everyone knows that we cannot possibly fall apart.

The other statistic is to see how DApp adoption is much better here than other protocol platforms. Even Ethereum has few DApps that have been able to effectively onboard users where Steem continues to build various with daily active users.
