Nexus Earth: A cryptoccurency in Space
Founded in 2014 by Colin Cantrell, Nexus (NXS) is a revolutionary cryptocurrency with a mission to decentralize everything – including the internet. The basic premise is to build a decentralized mesh satellite system that will act like a blockchain internet in space. We can see how Bitcoin has disrupted the financial industry through changing how we think about money and value. Now, we can expand our horizons further by using blockhain technology to separate even more information from centralized systems and give it back to the people. Since Colin's father Jim Cantrell is also the founder of Vector Space and SpaceX co-founder, the team is well oriented in the aerospace industry.
Nexus is fixing some issues that Bitcoin has not been able to solve. It has 3 mining channels for unprecedented security – Prime, Hash, and Nexus Proof of Stake (nPOS) that reinforce each other to prevent 51% attacks. It has a much faster transaction speed using Multi-Thread and no reward halving for mining difficulty. It will be the first coin to have reversible transactions, making it more appealing to the mass public. Small blocks, free transactions, and Li-Fi (Light Fidelity, an advanced Wi-Fi system) outside of government control is what we have to look forward to. The team is even working on a new hashing algorithm, foreseeing the danger of a quantum computer that could threaten all crypto in 10-15 years if it’s created, and taking steps to prevent such an outcome. With that said, Nexus is not trying to replace Bitcoin, but to evolve the original system into something even better.
The Nexus Conference takes place in Aspen, Colorado on September 21-23rd. Prominent leaders within the Liberty and Blockchain communities are coming to speak, such as Ron Paul, Roger Ver, Jeff Berwick, and many more. I had the pleasure of meeting the GUI Developer of Nexus Keith Smith at the Philly End the Fed Block Party and he is a genuine anarchist who believes in the mission of freedom through decentralization. Even though I can’t be there next week (though I wish for nothing more), Nexus Earth has my full support. I mean, it combines free internet, cryptocurrencies, and SPACE into one amazing project! Why isn’t everyone talking about this?

Never had looked into Nexus much but have seen it about, interesting to know more about them though. I wouldn't try stopping Quantum computing due to the mass advancement it would provide us which could greatly benefit us.
It's not a stop, it's just working to upgrade the blochain network so it is compatible with this future technology.
