Intro
Paralux looks to push users’ personalities, achievements, and interests into the digital space. Humanity is spending more and more time online; spending hours streaming movies, reading articles, sending emails, learning languages, creating artwork, or joining communities, yet what can users show for this time spent? We call the internet the world wide web, however, moving from one site to the next users need to create new accounts, build new friendships, and become known by a new group of individuals. We want Paralux to be the platform that gives you a digital identity which users take with them as they browse websites, post content, or connect with friends. By tapping into basic human emotions Paralux incentivizes users to explore new websites, build strong bonds with existing communities, and have something to show for their time spent online.

Digital Identities: Avatars
The focus of Paralux is a user’s avatar. Avatars allow for a user to stand out, show off interests, and highlight their hard work. In the real world people have material possessions, preferred clothing styles, and other unique identifiers that help people fit in, stand out, or feel important. Paralux looks to bring these intrinsic values to the digital space through a user’s avatar. Now people don’t just know you as “Felicia” they know you as “Felicia who loves coffee and the science of brewing, reading articles online, listening to podcasts, and has that “rare achievement” from collecting over 200 dresses.”

Financial and Emotional incentives:
Paralux understands people are motivated differently. Some users love the avatar system and collecting items; while other users could care less about avatars and items but love earning money for tasks they complete. Paralux has brought both financial and emotional incentives under the same platform. Now one user who does not feel rewarded by using the avatar system can sell earned items and rewards on our marketplace. While another user who only seeks to collect the latest and greatest items can spend their time earning them through missions and achievements or spend their time buying items off the marketplace from other users.

Why Blockchain?
Using a Blockchain based token model allows users around the globe the ability to easily trade items, donate tokens, or partake in the platform without any traditional hiccups that fiat currency requires. Paralux also firmly believes in cryptocurrency and knows that often the best ways to encourage the growth of new technology is when it is fun, accessible, and gamified! Blockchain is very useful when it comes to tracking items, and Paralux will be allowing peer to peer item trading using the Paralux blockchain to track items. This will create a very strong marketplace. Now buyers and sellers of items can see how many owners items have had, how much items have sold for in the past, who are large collectors of certain items, and many more important trading aspects. We want to give an exciting microeconomy to the Paralux platform, enticing even users who have no interest in the Avatar system yet are drawn to the platform in the hopes of playing the market.

Paralux knows the power that tasks and rewards can have on users’ daily activities. Large social media companies employ teams who work strictly on making platforms more addictive, time consuming, and engaging. As people spend more time scrolling through social media feeds, watching videos, and being sucked into the digital space Paralux will be leading the way with amazing incentives to keep users coming back and participating in our platform. From daily achievements that users can partake in, to more challenging achievements that users may spend weeks to unlock, Paralux will have content for anyone and everyone.
