In the shadow of the dotcom bubble

Even crypto-enthusiasts, like Fred Wilson, cannot escape the parallels with the dotcom bubble of 1999-2000.

"Amazon peaked in the Internet bubble in late 1999 at around $90/share.

Almost two years later, at the trough, you could briefly buy Amazon at $6/share.

And then it took until late 2007 for Amazon to trade above the highs it reached in 1999."

What Bear Markets Look Like

I expect to see more coins fail, miners giving up due to low prices and exchanges delisting some cryptos.

Those that remain will be stronger for overcoming this test.

So, the best is yet to come... but it will take a while.
