I realized the other day while reading up on the Crypto Peso that a software developer milestone had quietly been reached here at Steem with little or no fanfare. As I read the post by @aggroed over again about the Crypto-Peso I realized that as novel as that project was in terms of developing a regional cryptocurrency with global reach, that these nations could embrace and make their own was heady stuff, but folks we missed something big.
The team at Steem-Engine; ( @harpagon, @yabapmatt, @aggroed) have given us this marvelous new Steem blockchain sidechain Steem-Engine which is marvelous stuff by itself, but the marvels don’t end there!

Steem-engine has quietly developed and implemented a cross chain technology which allows you to buy a Token on another blockchain. Using this technology and without even thinking about it, you can by a Token based on the EOS blockchain, here on Steem-Engine, which is based on the Steem blockchain. This is made possible using a software construct called Crypto-Converter. Kudos to @aggroed gave credit to the developer known as @privex who was responsible for creating to the “Crypto-Converter”, a software construct which allows other cryptos on another blockchain (EOS) to be traded on the Steem Engine exchange. Most Steemians know that Steem-Engine creates Tokens which are projects which run on the Steem Blockchain. The EOS blockchain has its own Token economy like Steem’s Steem-Engine, and the Crypto-Peso is a member of the EOS token economy. Steem Engine has been amazing and recently added EOS to the internal market on Steem Engine and now Steem-Engine has added a Token from the EOS token economy to the Steem token economy.
