When the user uses the Darksend feature, it will mix the sent funds with that of other users using the masternodes for coordination and and verification.
You can hold up to 8 rounds of Darksend mixing in your wallet at any one time. A special algorithm is created for each transaction, which increases the anonymity sender and the receiver. This also enhances the buffer to make attacks on the network alot more difficult.
