🗞 The Age of Endless Blockchain Forks Is Coming to an End

When we sit down inside of EY and discuss what the biggest risks are to the future of the blockchain industry, one topic that comes up again and again is the high rate at which key blockchains are forking and the possibility that future forks will split apart large blockchains with critical mass.

This is important because we do not believe that private blockchains will scale effectively beyond highly specific use cases into a general-purpose platform for digital contracting between enterprises. That job, if any system is to take it, will belong to public blockchains.

New Head Of South Korean Financial Regulator Notes ‘Positive Aspects’ Of Crypto

The newly appointed governor of South Korea’s Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) said that he sees “some positive aspects” to cryptocurrencies in a press conference today, May 6. The governor also said the FSS will be working on crypto regulatory “issues” in collaboration with other regulators, local news outlet The Korea Times reports.

🗞 India Sees Rise In Cryptocurrency Trading Volumes Despite Ban

Trading volumes have risen alongside cryptocurrency prices in India despite an impending ban on banking services for entities that deal in cryptocurrencies, (e.g., exchanges). The Reserve Bank of India announced the ban a month ago, giving financial institutions three months to cease services for cryptocurrency investors, traders, and exchanges.

Almost three months after starting to roll out cryptocurrency trading, Robinhood has expanded the service to another two more American localities. This means that residents of eight US states in total now have access to Robinhood Crypto.

It seems the past weekend has left a lingering mark on the cryptocurrency industry. With all top currencies suffering from small to medium-sized losses, a lot of bearish momentum materialized seemingly out of nowhere. It is possible this trend will reverse course soon. Until that happens, the Litecoin price won’t reclaim $175 anytime soon.

After the little test of yesterday, we almost broke the support line at 3.65$. However, don't be too much pessimist because this kind of break is not really accurate. When we have a break of a support line or a resistance line, most of the time, we have an acceleration in the move just after. Look here how we are trying to come back higher than our support line. Let's see what is happening in the coming hours but till now I don't consider this move as a confirmed break.
