With escalating prices are you priced out of Bitcoin? Or enticed into the market by its performance ?

Chances are everyone on Steemit has discovered cryptocurrencies and the exciting path these currencies continually take. Some may have investments for a while now while others are bracing for that final leap of faith to jump on the band wagon. But at what cost ?

Bitcoin this month has been at an all time high blasting beyond doubters expectations, and only installing more faith in the crypto currencies strong following.

Investors in the currency who were brave enough to take that leap of faith for minimal risk (when bitcoin was as low as a few cents) are now laughing all the way to the bank , the virtual bank being coin base or alternative online exchanges. Some protect their currency off line in the form of a virtual wallet from Trevor, giving further security to the amount they have acquired over the years .

More and more people are diving into the money pool believing not just in the upward turn of a bullish investment, but more in the technology and the revolution that this alternative currency represents.

When we look back in recent history you only have to go back a few decades for people to reluctantly accept "an internet" . Now this is the most powerful base for several revolutions to come- the birth of alternative media and social media has led the way for a rebellion and a revolution against the status quo.

"After a crash there's always opportunity"

The birth of Bitcoin with no coincidence came as the crash unveiled in 2008 , offering an alternative system to the corrupt one the world is currently dominated by.

Bitcoin seems to be a very attractive investment over time as more and more people have awareness of it. Big players like virgins Richard Branson and Lamborghini are now active in the market giving much needed "mainstream" to the currency which only helps install confidence to the investor.

The emergence of alt coins has been the twist in the story making a multi billion dollar industry, and a very volatile one. Whilst investors hunger to learn the technology and assets it provides them, whether it's transaction costs, speed of transaction or its popularity, the more the currencies tend to increase in the upward direction over time.

The question most new investors need to ask themselves is are they believing in the short to mid term interest that this volatile currency can give them? Being an attractive increase in their investment in dollars ? A revert back to currency they have eluded.
Which would result in a lot of people selling coins after the fork - for new people to come on board....but at what price ? Is an ever unfolding mystery at the moment.

If the investor is believing in the technology first, and long term investment second than they are somewhat protected by the volitility of the daily crypto currency market- as their coin is locked up in a trezor and will be there for some time. As Bit coin holders who have been patient - bought very low and held on will be in a very pretty place as an investor.

However the people buying in at an all time high are taking a greater risk if this jeopardises their day to day living. Placing all eggs into one basket is always a risky venture. Instead an education into new emerging markets helps direct a decision to invest into a belief ... if you have one that this is? A revolution that will be here to stay ? Believing future transactions such as a house purchase or a car will be bought in bit coin or an alt coin that has value.

You never hear of people investing in the dollar or the pound or the euro ? Why ?

Most have come to the conclusion that fiat currency is debt based and enslavement for the ruling elite to dominate. These currencies continue to fall and faith is continually lost . So to invest short term into crypto currencies then translate them back to dollars pounds or euros is surely " jumping out of frying pan and into the fire."
