Will Every App Need To Have A Coin In The Future?

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Lets go forward 5 to 10 years. We are the point where crypto is made easy and everything from games to social media to streaming services has the ability to have a cryptocurrency attached to it. The question is, at this stage, will you need to have a cryptocurrency to compete? Would you watch netflix if a similar service offered you a coin for watching tv? Or play a game that doesn't let you keep your equipment where there are a dozen that do? Same with social media. Will you need a coin to compete in the future?

To me I do not see every company making a coin but I do see a couple having coins that can be gained in different apps. Maybe netflix and facebook use the same coin. And there will be companies that will issue their own. But I feel this is tech that cannot be ignored. Sure it can be pushed back and probably will be but when people get used to it they will want to get coins from their apps.

What do you think?

I am not sure if we will see that many apps actually offering coins for consumption, but I do think that we will see apps that reward interaction in some form, such as reshares, likes and producing content.

As a matter of fact, 5-10 years from now, I think we will see a lot of apps that use SMTs.

If they paid to watch tv couldn't we just leave it on permanently in the background lol

They might make a camera that watches you so they know you are watching... that is creepy

Yeah.. I'll pass on all that lol

The idea of creating new coin will only apply if the current coin don't meet the company need or the fees charge are somewhat high, hence there will be a need for each company to own its own coin but at the end, there will always be a coin that act as a medium for exchange of one coin to another, probably something stable as well, just like tether and the future is already here.

You have a minor grammatical mistake in the following sentence:

And there will be companies that will issue there own.
It should be their own instead of there own.

fixed, this is helpful but will not be very popular :p.

I think a good app doesn't need coins added.

But if you want to get a (not that original ) app to get popular then coins will definetaly help it
