Hello again Steemians! This article is centered around our Crypto-Renaissance event which is the first Steem-powered public exhibition in New York! This show will professionally showcase the tools and resources built for creative professionals on the Steem blockchain and specifically how @sndbox members have integrated them into their practice and daily lives. This article expands on the graffiti that was discussed last week and focuses on Colossal Media and their works on public morals in Bushwick.

Earlier this week, we showcased the unique identity that Bushwick today has, and how it highlights the expression of the individual through public art and the utilization of post-industrial warehouses by numerous startup companies. Colossal Media is the leading force on hand painted outdoor advertising. They were created on the belief that "quick and easy" isn't always good enough, emphasizing that commitment, persistence, and talent can create an exotic masterpiece. They produce large-scale murals, and commit to being able to display public art on a grand scale and transform blank walls into sources of community pride; in this case being Bushwick.

What's great about their books or magazines is that in addition to being your average gallery picture book, it also shows the documentation of the process of when it's being put up, outlining significant steps to the how-to of public art. This format to the book really closes that gap between the author and reader, where it gives a "you-can-do-it-too!" vibe, as long as you have the dedication and persistence.

Colossal Media also has their very own field guide to Bushwick which can be found here! They took the time to digest the internal contents of Bushwick, and document their respective locations, in addition to where their art pieces are.

This infographic is very important and helpful, as it distinguishes everything from nightlife, to art/music/events, to companies/co-working spaces, to food, to even the subway.
