To ripple or not to ripple?

RIPPLE TO THE MOON, YAYYY.

I know what you are thinking, how my god, another bandwagon fan on ripple. Yes, create another post about how ripple will go to the moon. This is not that kind of post. You might say it's the opposite.

Checking coinmarketcap today, I see that ripple is at $3.20, a dollar more than yesterday with a market cap of $128,749,547,899 USD and circulating supply of 38,739,144,847 XRP. They have the capacity to surpass Bitcoin in a few year, though this most likely wouldn't happen. Ripple also has one of the best blockchain technology in the cryptocurrency world.

So with all these qualifications, why am I being a douche about ripple? Well, easy they are own by the banks. Ripple's plan is to become the banking system of the world. Through there amazing software and XRP coins, they plan to take over the currency market and be the definitive currency of the future. Well, ripple was made for the banks. It can be seen even on their website. Ripple intended for banks and 3rd party sites to use XRP in their transactions. Because of this, most of the XRP tokens are kept by the company and a lot by the banks. This is because of the lockdown agreement. Ripple has a lock-up agreement that will lock-up one billion XRP per month for the next five years. As of today, ripple holds over 50% of the coin. Ripple was not made for the little guys, it's made for the wall street. Isn't the point of cryptocurrency to cut out or reduce the power of banks?

Now, am I just being so hateful about ripple because I didn't get it when it was only 2 cents, most likely. Actually, yes but that's not the point. The point is, yes ripple would make you a huge profit, there are already projections of it going past $10 by the end of the year. If you in it for the money, yes invest in some ripple if you have the money. Don't miss out on the huge profit. However, if you are someone who cares about cryptocurrency owning the future, do you think it's right to back ripple? Let me see some of your comments down below.

This is only my opinion, am not a financial advisor. Do your own research before you make an investment, yada yada yada. This is only for informative or entertainment purposes. Don't sue me, I am already broke.

Sort:

Bankers own most of Ripple and they will continue to pump the price up as long as the system is still in one piece. Once the collapse is near, Ripple will crash as bankers dump their centralized coin and head for the exit. Treat Ripple as a short term trading coin.

Yes, completely agree, good for short term invests, nothing more than a year or two though.
