Home simulation game: Bahay bahayan
Bahay bahayan (household/home simulation game) is one of the most popular and the best Filipino traditional game during 80's to early 20's. This game is really amusing and very fun to play, especially when you are playing with your childhood mate. This is also my most favorite game during our generation. We play this almost everyday.
In this kind of game, everyone should portray a real household, which were consist of the family member. The older girls would be the mother, the older guys would be the father, while the other will serve as a siblings, the pet dog, bird, cat or etc. Sometimes, the story while playing this game will run according with the individual acts, they are going to narrate a scenario, then all must follow. While sometimes, there is a only 1 narrator, who will narrate all of the events in the story, while all of the players must follow the story of his/her narration.
Of course, the best part of this game is the meal time. All players are going to contribute any kind of food or a money to buy some snacks, that will going to shared to everyone who are playing the game. It will going to be like a mini picnic party with your best friends and playmates, but the difference is you have to build a small house.

Thank you for this blog of yours which showcases the traditional Filipino game being played by kids back then, though bahay-bahayan game still exists today, it is rare to notice here in the city but in the province and rural areas games like this still exist.
