LADIES, NEVER CLEAN YOUR HOUSE AT NIGHT.

I am quite a night owl... Meaning when most of the people in my timezone are sleeping, i am wide awake.
Its past midnight here , and i found my self wanting to tidy up the house. I got up and started washing dishes, and then decided to sweep the floor before i eventually mopped it. .

While i was at it ( sweeping), i remembered a Zambian lady in my neighbourhood many years ago who warned me, SERIOUSLY against sweeping at night.
Her reason was that in her tribe, they believe that when a woman sweeps at night, she chases (sweeps) away her man (men). In simpler terms, it means you are sweeping away your luck to fall in love with the right man. That's how i interpreted it, or how would u personally interpret it? Mmmmhhhhhh, coming to think of it, this could probably be the reason why i am still not in a stable relationship. Lol.

On a serious note though, our minds and thoughts have strong forces that influence our believes , that at the end of the day determines our outcomes ( reason why some folk believes and superstitions come true)... I don't know if that makes sense, i hope it does.

There are many superstitions that we find our selves believing in , most of which are influenced by our cultures. Just yesterday, i heard that in the Philippines, its forbidden to buy salt in the night. One should rather go to a neighbour and ask for some salt than buying it directly from the shop. I really would like to understand the reason behind this superstition. Any one with their two cents?
