July 29th -- Steemit Ramble #164 -- Curating Great Posts for You
The cryptocurrency markets are showing some promise that bear market might be turning around. Bitcoin has moved up some over the last week or so and STEEM has moved up some but not a lot.
Many are getting discouraged at not seeing the levels we saw earlier this year. I tend to have faith that like bitcoin which has seen its share of dramatic rise and falls, we’ll see similar with this platform.
You may want to explore what motivates you to create content and post on the platform. If you’re just chasing dollars, well this platform might be a slow way to do so. If you’re enjoying creating content, trying new things and developing as a content creator, then you’ll find the challenge of learning how to grow on the platform worth the time and effort. But it does take effort.

I got a chuckle out of this post from @wizardave. He starts us off with some lovely shots of flowers, progresses to the longest description of the making of a BLT and the variation BLOT (read the post) and then moves on to his purchase on Amazon. Just like life, variety in any given day.
Art 108: My Drawing of Angela Basett of Mission: Impossible Fallout
@christianyocte takes us through his process in drawing Angela Bassett. The process is detailed and at the bottom of the post I discovered that the platform has a front end geared toward artists. Great to see.

I’ve been noticing the subject of mandalas popping up lately. Not really sure why but they are intriguing. I love this post by @eveningart laying out the process of creating mandalas.

On the topic of manadalas, this post was shared with us at Pimp Your Post Thursday this past week. @mandelsage revealed that he has a project underway to create a mandala colouring book. While he doesn’t reveal the fine details of mandala creation, he shows some great pics of his work.

About the Steemit Ramble
The Steemit Ramble is a manual curation project written by @shadowspub since August 2016. She scours the blockchain to locate and share the best posts so you don't have to. Every day many quality posts disappear on the blockchain leaving their authors frustrated they aren't seen and readers just as frustrated trying to find them. This curation project brings readers and authors together.
How You Can Participate?
As hard as she works, @shadowspub doesn't find all the best. You, as a reader, will find posts that have been missed and really should be seen. You can take a part in bringing these posts to light and earn a share of the post they are published in.
The Steemit Ramble has it's own discord called, Steemit Ramble. Here you can nominate posts you've found and think belong in the Ramble.
How to Nominate a Post
- Read How I Manually Curate to give you an idea of what I'm looking for in a post. This covers the formatting, the quality of the writing is just as important.
- When you find a post visit the Ramble discord and submit it to the #nominate-someones-post channel by writing a short nomination
It's that easy. I review each submission. Those I select will receive credit for the nomination, their nomination will be part of the entry in the Ramble and they will receive a portion of the SBD earned when the post pays out.
Supporting the Steemit Ramble Curation Project
In addition to reading and upvoting the Steemit Ramble, you can support the project and the authors featured in it by:
Delegating even as much as 25 SP to @steemitramble -- this will increase the voting power of the account when it votes on those curated. Delegating is like loaning me some of your Steem Power so I can vote on others posts with a larger vote.

You are too kind as always, although Mad Man is about right 😜 I'm working on developing the idea for that vlog curation post - where the post titles that are links to the post are combined to create some sort of story - I got the idea half way through that one but it was too far in to change.
I think I saw a few posts I have not seen yet, so I will have to check them out now!
