UU National Parks Drowned in Trash

Many people are talking about the ominous "government shutdown" and its ramifications for the system's functioning at large these days. Many services are on hold and we start to see the effects this has on our immediate surroundings in a way that serves as a great eye opener to what we are actually doing on a daily basis.

As painful and inconvenient as it may first seem, it's always helpful to have some graphic reminders of how much power we have to change things through our own initiative, and what happens if we choose apathy instead. Picking up trash is just such an example. As @frdem3dot0 has pointed out, a world without governments would require us to take care of each other and of our environment in a responsible way instead of delegating responsibility to some central authority. All this visible trash can also help us to understand that the plastic paradigm may not be the best inheritance to pass to our children from generation to generation. Better solutions exist, and they generally start with each of us.

Ads are actually going to be added to Steemit

Steemit Inc has come under a lot of criticism lately. CEO Ned hasn't shown up for the live-streams he has been scheduling, many people are upset with Steemit Inc's unreliability in communication and many do not understand why the user interface has stagnated for way too long.

As if that wasn't enough, now there is talk about a possible integration of the dread Google Ads system into Steemit. Ever since Facebook started including random ads it was the beginning of the end for me using it - it adds so much noise and many people originally came to Steemit to stop supporting the same old system-machine and its mind control. The Creative Bubble and How You Can Get Yourself Out of It...

Creative people can easily get in their own way; maybe you can relate? We get hung up in our own thought loops and get disheartened about the task at hand.

In moments like this, I love to read about breaking through the barriers in the creative process, through posts like the one that @lsn1406 recently shared. Many strategies exist to get our creativity back. If you feel stuck with your craft, maybe all you need is to read up on some permission slips by other people in order to get the creative juices flowing again.

Submission Requirements

On to the submission requirements for The Daily Sneak:

1. You can choose from 2 to 5 articles for your entry. Submissions with only one selected article will be ignored.
2. All articles chosen for curation need to have been published within the last 5 days before your entry. It may take time for me to publish your curation, and curated articles need to be within the reward window when your submission is published.
3. You cannot submit your own post for curation. Selections from nsfw will not be accepted. We also check for plagiarism and only highlight original content.
4. Selected posts should have less than $50 in total rewards and have not previously been curated by The Daily Sneak.
5. We try to spread the love around, so while selections from authors that have been highlighted before are welcome, they might not be included if the author's last inclusion was recent. Similarly, if you include two articles from the same author in one submission, we will typically highlight only one of the two.
6. Be sure to include your personal bio for me to introduce you to readers, and make sure that each selection has commentary. This can be just a few sentences about why you think the selection is worth our attention, or what is great about it - something that will make people want to click through the headline and check out the actual article. English is preferred, but other languages will be considered as long as English translation is included.

8. Including image links to the source article is not required (and we prefer to leave some mystery if photography is highlighted and the article has only one photo.) However, we like to include images in The Daily Sneak, and not including any image links may decrease the likelihood of your submissions being published.

If you include more than 2 articles in your submission and not all are approved for publication, your submission may still be published into an edition of The Daily Sneak, as long as at least 2 articles are approved. This could happen for several different reasons. If you are unsure why an article was cut, please review the submission guidelines again. If you are still unsure, feel free to ask politely why it was cut.

Submission Reward

A brief biography of each guest curator will be included in the edition that uses their submission. In addition, each guest curator will receive 1 SBI for each article from their submission that is highlighted in The Daily Sneak. That's up to 5 SBI for each accepted submission!

With Steem Basic Income now upvoting comments for members that have not posted within the last 7 days, and SBI having proven to be a great value proposition, we are shifting to begin rewarding authors with SBI instead of SBD. This will help The Daily Sneak continue in its mission to discover and reward quality content creators and curators.
