Hey! Have Ya Met... October 12, 2018

Often we get stuck in a rut and tend to only look at what is in our feed; this causes us to miss some amazing posts. What's even worse, we miss those introduction posts of new people who are not getting a good number of upvotes. We decided, because we have felt the frustration of low votes on our introduction, we were going to introduce a few people we thought were deserving of your attention. This will be a daily project so keep watching and see who's out there!

So without further ado, have ya met...

Have ya met Nick Dawes?

Recently I have been having conversations here on SteemIt with many musicians. All of the ones who have done recordings have mentioned how important the Recording Engineers were to their music. Here we meet @nickdawes, a Recording Engineer. How serendipitous for us! Originally from the UK, he says he moved to the South of France because the food was wonderful, the weather was glorious, and the locals convinced him to stay. I am very interested in seeing what wonderful things Nick will have for us in his future posts.

Have ya met liveforfun?

Oh my goodness, ya'll! I was so excited when I came across @liveforfun introduction post. I often go to people's posts from other countries and use a translator to be able to read their amazing adventures. However, I did not have to do that this time because she has done this for us. Liveforfun has an amazing adventure for us because she is doing volunteer work through Worldpackers (https://www.worldpackers.com/). It causes me to wish I were young enough to join her.

Have ya met Meanderer?

The very first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful painting @meanderer did in acrylic on canvas. Of course, I think it's the colors that grabbed my attention. Reading Meanderer's post, you will find out that this lawyer is also a historian who loves old books. I can't wait to see what adventures we will be taken on in future posts.

Thank you so much for joining Scott and me in this endeavor. We wanted to do our part in helping new people get their introductions noticed. There really isn't a criteria at this point; we are, however, looking for those who seem to be trying to have good content, but have low upvotes and low payout. We understand how they must be feeling because our introduction post was not received well at all with only 12 upvotes and $0.10 in payout. Both Scott and I were very frustrated because we knew we had a very good quality post with little reaction while other "trending" introductions were a poor quality photo and little verbiage. We were so discouraged and heartbroken; this should not happen to anyone. Therefore, we are on the lookout for these people and will do our best to bring them to your attention.

Thank you @penderis for this artwork!

Feels awkward 'cause I only saw this post in my feed. Would have missed it otherwise.

That's why we are trying to get some of the people out there that we are. They got missed so they needed an introduction. If you were talking about my post... that is awkward. hehe

This is FABULOUS!!! Thank you for bringing these new bloggers to my attention. :)

That is a very kind thing you are doing! And you're quite right, there is such an ocean of content out there that we tend to miss most of it... especially when you are only a very sporadic part timer!

Bright Blessings!

I just wish I could do more people. I tried to comment on many of them and give them a few pointers, but these were ones we felt that had been in our situation when we first started.

Thank you for this most wonderful curation, this way I have more most amazing reads for a calm Sunday :) to check out! The painting seems so inspiring ... wow ... have to check out all ... definitely!!!

I loved the painting, it is what caught my attention.

The painting is wonderful! Reminds me of Van Gogh but also has an own personality!
xx
