Yes, I do it partially to help possible curators. I am part of a group called the Newbie Resteem Initiative which helps people new to SteemIt figure things out, and many other things. But early on it was clear I could help newcomers simply by showing them what exceptional content looks like, and what they should aspire to. But it has also led to some of them learning from my journal and now wanting to become curators. Also a good way to help see a history of what made it and what didnt.
