Of all the remote woodsy places I've lived, I've never seen a bear before... and you see one on a city street? Incredible!
Truth be told I don't want to come face to face with a bear.
They are everywhere here, we've had so much growth in Asheville in the last 10 years and we are surrounded by the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Pisgah National Forest, so they come down the mountain because we keep building on it. Now we all live together and I always pray that the humans don't do stupid things to mess it up. I love seeing them, they're so magical.
