Venezuela nabízí 30% slevu při platbě kryptoměnou Petro
Podle článku uveřejněného na Cointelegraph, poskytne Venezuela Indii 30 % slevu na ropu, pokud ji bude hradit státní kryptoměnou Petro.

Venezuela je stát v Jižní Americe, který se dlouhodobě ocitl v ekonomické krizi a jehož hyperinflace se pohybuje v tisících procent z důvodu kolabujícího socialistického hospodářství. Státní měna Bolívar v loňském roce ztratila 96 % své hodnoty, situaci neprospívá ani uvalení obchodních sankcí ze strany USA a EU, což Venezuele znemožňuje půjčit si v zahraničí peníze na refinancování státního dluhu.
Stát se pokusil o záchranu vydáním státní kryptoměny Petro, která je kryta barely ropy. Prezident Nicolás Maduro se tímto krokem snaží vypořádat s ekonomickými sankcemi tím, že členům OPEC se takto povede obejít uvalené sankce.
Jedná se o ojedinělý experiment, který jistě v budoucnu bude následován dalšími státy. Pravděpodobně těmi, které budou čelit stejným nebo podobným problémům, jako Venezuela.
