I talked to my Dad for SOOOO LONG
Two and a half hours!! We have never maintained a conversation for that long over the phone!
It is so wild to me how they way my parents tell stories has influenced how I also tell stories. Lots of technical details... he was describing the road work he noticed on his drive from Texas to Arizona. There were lots of guard rails being replaced "on the bridges" and that was too vague for me and I HAD TO ASK
"Guard rails on the overpasses, or guard rails on the road you were driving on?"
It definitely isn't a detsil that matters, but I wanted to know and I knew he would be able to tell me because he already has spent the time noting that road upgrades were happening at all.
P.S. it was guard rails along the road he was driving on.
