TOPIC:
Chosen to Know, See, Hear and Tell
BIBLE READING:
Acts 22: 1-21
Qs. 2,7. See Questions HERE.
DISCUSSION:
Paul was a master evangelist. He used every opportunity to preach the gospel. Notice his use of the Aramaic language and the effect it produced on his audience (vs. 1-2). Aramaic is a language closely related to Hebrew and was widely used in Israel at the time of Jesus and the apostles. It is very helpful when communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to do so in the indigenous language (the heart language) of those who are listening. In Africa, the official languages are either English or French or Portuguese. How fluent are you in speaking the dialect of your own people?
Paul's speech from vs. 3-21 was basically his personal testimony of how he became a follower and servant of Jesus of Nazareth. Compare this with the account recorded in Acts 9: 1-19. Personal testimonies about Christian conversion have a powerful effect on hearers. Do you have a personal testimony about your relationship and walk with Christ? How often do you share this?
Action:
Take some time to write down a brief account of how you became a follower of Christ and look for opportunity to share it.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, let my personal testimony be an encouragement to lead others to You.
REMAIN BLESSED!
