DISCUSSION:

Law enforcers across the world are able to use what they call the 'money trail' to solve complicated criminal cases. The money trail is a series of transactions that facilitate the perpetrators of that crime. What does your money trial reveal? This text concludes that if we follow your treasure we will also find your heart.

A person's heart referred to in this text is the primary object of someone's life. The priority of a person who does not know God is to 'seek after these things' (v. 30). Why has this attitude of prioritizing material needs caught up with the Church? Our Church harvest celebrations focus not on the number of souls saved, but on the amount of cash collected or pledged.

There is a natural tendency to be anxious about our daily needs. Those who have their material needs met in abundance can start to worry about the possibility of losing their wealth. Anxiety is a state that is not beneficial (vs. 25-26). What are the negative effects of anxiety? What is Jesus' best option (vs. 31-34)?

So what?

Let anxiety go. Hold unto faith, hope and trust in the unfailing God; soon your night will turn to day.

Prayer:

I thank you, Lord, for your promise never to leave or forsake me. May this assurance keep anxiety away from me.

Our hearts belong to what we love. Not only the person, it can be any matter or thing. Our heart will be there, even may we not know about that.

Remain blessed for stopping by.
