Heifer, I learned, does not mean "bossy old woman" (that's how my dad, a farmer, used it). Heifers are cows who've never been milked yet. A native of Brazil, fluent in seven languages, read my novel and said "What is a heefer?" (Heffer!) And a former farm boy read it and laughed, because I had the farmer milking HEIFERS - gaaaah!
Thank you that's a pretty cool story well i didn't even know what a Heffer , heefer , heifer is and now i am more confused because i don't know which is which ....lol :)
