Ronggeng is one of a traditional dance from indonesia. In this show we can see dancer and man audience exchanging the intimate words while they are dancing accompanied by musical instruments such as rebab, violin or gong.

At the past, ronggeng was so erotic. They dance and attract a man audience with a dance shawl and the man will given money which called as "saweran". Ronggeng dancer with a man audience was sometimes a bit intimate and slightly violet tje decency. This is reasin why ronggeng is sometimes described as a prostitute arena as told in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari who as author from indonesia.
