Some German Dance Music
For Dance Weekend some nice music from the German Saarland - Boney M. was an international success story out of Germany, produced by Frank Farian who also did sing most of the songs - the male parts - which was a huge controverse discussion when it was discovered.
On stage the band consisted at the beginning of four original members including Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett from Jamaica, Maizie Williams from Montserrat and Bobby Farrell from Aruba. They started in 1976 and gained high popularity in the disco era late 70ies and early 80ies. They sold over 150 million records worldwide and here some of my favourite Dance Songs of the group.
