Translator Application for Utopian & Da Vinci [Spanish]

Hello,

My name is Isamar Castillo. I am 23 years old and studying 5th year of Biology Degree at Simon Bolivar University, besides my love for science I am passionate about volunteering, politics and programming. I was part of AIESEC USB for 3 years (the first NGO run by young students and endorsed by the UN). There I developed as manager of incoming volunteers and public relations, and directing a project with Microsoft Venezuela called EPF. I also had the opportunity to sign volunteer contracts in Venezuela and to interview in English (capacity acquired in the language courses of the same university) to interns from Peru, Argentina, Brazil, England, Germany and India coming to the country, to know our culture and to do their bit to improve Venezuela and be true agents of change.

I started, in turn, to translate career books, papers and open source projects for interest. Then thanks to Utopian I was able to help many others to know quite varied projects using the Crowdin platform. The strategy created by utopian is extremely interesting, in which an incentive is generated by helping the public, and doing something that we like and motivates us, such as translating and deepening in open source projects.

I would like to become a Spanish translator for DaVinci since I hope to continue contributing to this community, to providing the creators of all these programs and projects the opportunity for more users to know them, and those interested in the area to continue providing quality translations from these to open source projects.

Mi nombre es Isamar Castillo. Tengo 23 años y soy estudiante del 5to año de Licenciatura en Biología en la Universidad Simón Bolívar, además de mi amor por la ciencia me apasiona el voluntariado, la política y programación. Fui por 3 años parte de AIESEC USB (primera ONG dirigida por jóvenes estudiantes y avalada por la ONU). Ahí me desarrollé como gerente de voluntariados entrantes y relacionista publica, y dirigiendo un proyecto con Microsoft Venezuela llamado EPF. Además, tuve la oportunidad de firmar múltiples contratos de voluntariado en Venezuela y de entrevistar en inglés (capacidad adquirida en los cursos de idiomas de la misma universidad) a interns de Perú, Argentina, Brasil, Inglaterra, Alemania e India, que vienen al país para conocer nuestra cultura y dar su granito de arena en mejorar Venezuela y ser verdaderos agentes de cambio.

Comencé a traducir libros de carreras, papers y proyectos de código abierto por interés. Luego gracias a Utopian pude ayudar a muchos otros a conocer proyectos bastante variados utilizando la plataforma Crowdin. Es sumamente interesante la estrategia creada por Utopian, en la cual se genera un incentivo por ayudar al público, y hacer algo que nos gusta y nos motiva, como lo es traducir y profundizar en proyectos de código abierto.

Me gustaría convertirme en traductora de español para DaVinci ya que espero continuar contribuyendo con esta comunidad, para seguir brindándole a los creadores de todos estos programas y proyectos la oportunidad de que más usuarios los conozcan, y a los interesados en el área seguir brindándoles traducciones de calidad de estos a proyectos de código abierto.
