I'm not a fan of all these UFO stories, but places like this look for me as landing or start platforms... for whatever...
There are many similar places, we should better take a look from above..

Another possibility for sure.
One of my friends (the one who does the bardic readings for many of the druid rituals in Wessex) was telling me how after one of their early-morning solstice rituals (where they are there for sunrise), a report was filed with the police about how there were aliens all over Stonehenge that morning - tall individuals in robes, lol.
In nearby Avebury (I will do this book soon), when someone reported aliens, the local police answered "which ones?" - again, the same source told me about this.
