Facetime from 1918

One of the outstanding impressions of the era is The Electrical Experimenter, a monthly magazine published in New York between 1913 and 1920.

Hugo Gernsback, a Luxembourg-born inventor, wrote, edited, and published the paper until it ceased to exist. Gernsback, whose name is connected to the world's first scientific-fantastic magazine publication, is called the father of sci-fi, and his visions are on a par with Jules Verne's work.

Gernsback's prediction of the interplay between television and phone, well before the television was invented. The picture of the speaker is transmitted by the small lens below the screen to the called party and vice versa, as with today's smartphones we can reach each other by video call.
Amazing.
