Anachronistic Trial

A woman who cheated on her husband loses her right to her property that she worked on for years! Husband wife murderer gets the entire inheritance and children remain lonely without property !!! A foreign woman gives birth to children in Israel and her children are not registered as citizens. She gets rid of them and they remain stranded without identity, without rights and without the possibility of earning a living !!!

We are a democratic country that takes human rights into consideration. Here are a number of troubling facts, which are presented in Israeli law in its nakedness. This is legislation that precedes the days of Methuselah. The judges are judged by the laws written two thousand years ago !! And the ridiculous thing that the civil court accepts, the case of the woman in the West Bank !!! It is difficult for me to understand, and certainly to accept their ruling equanimously. Nor can I claim that I am angry, although my heart is furious, but I am exposed to outdated legislation. What is amazing is the ruling of the secular court. Since when do you mix property with treason?

Did the judges examine her husband's condition? Is he a healthy person? Does he fulfill his duties as a husband? Is he capable of fulfilling his role as a woman's man? Does he treat her? There are many questions that can be invented, which raise many questions. What happened to the secular judges who approved the judgments of the dayanim? It is clear that the judges decided unjustly and the ridiculous secular Jews followed suit!

The question is whether a traitor husband would lose his right to property? And if the woman was a murderer, would she have received all the property?

It is clear to me that the legal situation in family affairs and the relationship between him and her is old, not of our time, nor of current behavior. The court deviated from its logical abilities and ruled according to medieval worldviews. These facts scream to the sky. I am in pain because of the damage to the property of the woman in the West Bank !! The man could divorce her, but she certainly did not have to lose her property. This is an improper ruling by judges who do not live in our time.

The time has come for the Knesset to consider the constitutional situation in the family and its vicissitudes, and to work on modern laws to compare women and men. It is inconceivable that such a ruling is unequal, as in the interim period. The male judges arbitrarily decided to adopt an unequal ruling. These days, when a woman has equal rights to a man, this ruling brings us back to bad times. I am outraged and ashamed of a contemptuous ruling and do not respect the woman's right to property.
