When you realize, you are an invisible and unknown person #Tykn #Decentralized2018

Poor people and certain groups, such as victims of war who do not have birth certificates and land certificates, thousands or even millions of important documents were destroyed by the war. Thousands of victims of war refugees cannot verify the authenticity of their documents. And are considered as people who are not visible or unknown, even their existence is considered a real threat.

In 2014, Tey began asylum requests at a refugee camp in the Netherlands. He found that many refugees who were victims of war could not verify the authenticity of their documents. More than 1,000 men, women and children are not seen. Some of them are lucky to be documented, but what about those who are not lucky. Previously, Tey also found himself as an invisible person, he did not have a birth certificate and was declared "unknown". What was seen while in the refugee camp motivated Tey to find Tykn, along with social entrepreneurs Khalid Maliki and Jimmy JP Snoek, to work to provide sovereignty for all refugees.

What is Tykn

Tykn, the system of authority that can carry out distributed identity authorization, uses blockchain technology to build electronic identity devices that are safe, private, and can be operated by the government or NGOs.

Actually Tykn is the name taken from the name Tyke, a dove who contributed to the rescue of air strikes during world war 2. The first dove to get a Dickin medal award, Tyke served the British Air Force.

In 2016, Tykn developed a work prototype to verify and authenticate digital documents using the Blockchain. To participate in "Startup Weekend Utrecht, intensive 3-day hackathon empowered by Google" and declared win. Finally, Tykn was chosen as one of the "9 other startups" from 1100+ applicants to join Rockstart Web & Mobile Accelerator.

During the 2018 Blockchain Innovation Conference, Tykn also won the "Best ICO" and ZINC Project (Zero Invisible Children) became semi-finalists in the Accenture Innovation Awards, having won the "2017 Spindle Innovation Award" (supported by Partos and Accenture). Tykn was also invited by the United Nations to attend the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Ethiopia.

A few months ago in April, Tykn began a trip to the UAE to attend the "World Blockchain Forum" event in Dubai and meet with government representatives. This month, Tykn will attend the #Decentralized2018 event which will take place November 14-16 2018 at Divani Caravel, Athens, Greece. Tey El-Rjula was one of the speakers at #Decentralized2018, with the topic to be explained about "The Future of Identity Resilience"

Tey Al-Rjula (CEO)"After suffering the loss of vital records to fight on their own, Tey founded Tykn in 2016 to free the world of the same problems in the future. Here, I should note that the Sovrin Network is an exception to the typical approach to distributed ledgers, as no private information of any kind (hashed or otherwise) is actually ever stored on the ledger. This is not only in that (1) distributed ledgers are still arguably the most inefficient databases around (despite being the most secure), but most importantly, because (2) this way, privacy can be ensured through non-correlation principles via pseudonymisation"

"We’re giving invisible children a chance to have an incredible life” — Tey Al-Rjula (CEO)

Can technology overcome all human problems, no, there are many obstacles that technology cannot overcome. Borders, sovereign governments, global business, and trade are some of the real obstacles that need to be crossed if real-world digital identities will be made that can be accepted throughout the world.
